Less than two months after completing a European move to Kazakhstani outfit BIIK Kazygurt, Uganda Crested Cranes player Fauzia Najjemba has won her first title.

Najjemba, on Thursday helped her side trump Tomiris Turan 4-0 in the Kazakhstan Women’s Cup, their 14th in history with their first coming in 2007.

The Uganda Women’s U20 skipper indeed featured as she helped win a penalty in the comfortable win, which also marked their 11th successive Kazakhstan Cup (since 2010).

To get to the final, the former Kampala Queens star was involved in two goals (a goal and an assist) in the semifinals as Kazygurt picked an emphatic 3-0 victory over Okzhetpes on Tuesday.

The 2021 FUFA Female Player of the Year joined her current side in February 2021 from Kampala Queens but has been restricted to a handful of appearances as she had to deal with injuries.
