Farewells are always hard and trying moments due to the emotions that follow along.

But at one time in life, we are inevitably placed in a situation to bid farewell more so to those we cherish and love.

It’s now Hasifah Nassuna’s time to say goodbye to a team she spent five years with.

“I am writing this letter to thank all my teammates, management, technical team and all fans that have supported me since day one while at UCU Lady Cardinals,” Nassuna said in her letter.

“It has been five years since I joined this family. It’s time to bid farewell and I take this moment to thank you for all the knowledge and value you have spent on me as a player.”

“I know that there is nothing constant in life. I have lived fruitful and productive years of experience with you.”

“Having played in several championships, reaching my 100 goals milestone and many achievements,” the former captain added.

Nassuna joined UCU Lady Cardinals from Kawempe Muslim as a young girl with a budding talent but she moves on after writing her name on the walls as one of the finest talents within the perimeters.

“As I leave the mighty club, I want to thank you heartily for trusting me as a leader on the team, teaching me teamwork, determination and punctuality.”

Nassuna is happy to leave as an improved player and a better person.

“I depart feeling confident with my abilities. I am glad to have been part of your lives and memories.”

“I cherish the good times we shared together and extend my best wishes to you this season,” she concluded.

Nassuna joined the ‘moneybags’, Kampala Queens where she will be donning jersey number eight.

It awaits to be seen if she will make her debut while her side visits Makerere University Women Football Club on Sunday.
