Ugandan striker Derrick Nsibambi’s goal against Zambia at the 2018 Total African Nations Championship has been nominated in the African goal category ahead of the 2018 CAF Awards to be hosted in Dark Senegal on January 8th.
It will be a first at the CAF awards that a best goal award will be given out after a public vote where fans across the global click on their best goals.
With Zambia leading 1-0, Nsibambi capitalized on a well weighed in cross by Milton Kariisa to volley home the equaliser in the 40th minute. Unfortunately Uganda lost 3-1 in their opening game of the competition.
The former KCCA FC player who currently plies his trade at Egyptian club Smouha is nominated alongside Makusu Mundele (AS Vita) and Alain Traore (RS Berkane).
