After a 2-1 loss to Kirinya Jinja SSS on Saturday in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, Nyamityobora FC caretaker manager Juma Ssekiziyivu was left disappointed and believes that it will be a bit hard for his side to survive relegation according to Futaa Sports.
He only believes that his team can survive the axe if several changes are made on the team especially on the pitch for a side that gained promotion from the FUFA Big League last season.
“We have a 50-50 chance to survive. We need to win at least seven of the eight remaining games which is a daunting task,” Ssekiziyivu said.
“We play well but we have failed to win games because we are not scoring and our opponents are using theirs chances when they face us,” he added.
Ssekiyivu also claims that his team had a better game against Kirinya Jinja SSS but rued the missed chances which resulted into a loss.
“We wanted three points at Kirinya Jinja SSS but failed to pick even one, we had so many chances but our strikers failed to convert, we matched each other in everything but they utilized their opportunities well,” he noted.
Nyamityobora lie 15th on the 16 team log with 13 points, nine below the safety line. They host Onduparaka on Tuesday at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.
