Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has shacked Kyetume FC to the Regional League, for the 2022/23 campaign.
For failure to fulfill the FUFA Club licensing requirements, the Nakisunga outfit was relegated two places down, from the top flight.
Kyetume had failed to register a single player on the FUFA Connect System, and the required minimum must be 18 players.
However, they appealed FUFA’s decision which the latter feels is far from satisfying.
“The Committee noted that your club had no players on the dashboard in the FUFA Connect System as no player was uploaded onto the system by the deadline (August 10, 2022) as a minimum Club Licensing requirement,” partly reads a Decolas Kiiza signed FUFA letter.
“The decision of the club licensing Committee is therefore upheld. FUFA wishes to advise that Kyetume FC undertakes to fulfill requirements for the third division Buganda Region season 2022/23,” it stung.
The 2022/23 Uganda Premier League is bound to kickstart on September 30, but the fixture is until now, not yet out.
It is still a puzzle on whether the 2022/23 League will have 15 teams or one, which some have tipped to be Kataka Football Club, will be elevated to the top-flight.
