Uganda Cranes forward Abdu Lumala has completed a move to Vipers SC, signing a three-year deal, and is already raring to make a strong mark.
Dubbed ‘electric,’ Lumala’s last club involvement last happened over two years back, in his spell with Egyptian outfit Pyramids FC, but, he cannot wait to get his football boots on again.
“I cannot wait to get started, help my teammates and myself get better,” said the 25-year-old to club media.
“My target is to help my team reach the CAF Champions League group stages and win the Uganda Premier League again,” he added.
He is a St. Mary’s Secondary School, Kitende graduate, a side he left before hitting the professional stage in Sweden.
Previously, Lumala has played for Mjallby AIF, Kalmer FF, Helsingborgs, IFK Vernamo, Syrianska FC, and Pyramids.
Following a series of training sessions with SC Villa last season, reports had suggested that he was joining the 16-time Uganda Premier League champions until he came out personally and trashed it all.
Other reports alleged that he was destined for KCCA FC but the player threw the rumors into the bin.
Ahead of a busy new season, the UPL champions have also already added Isa Mubiru, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Omadjondo Osomba, and Ashraf Mandela.
