KCCA FC has never replaced Allan Okello over since he departed for Algerian side Paradou AC in February 2020.
After two years, the attacking midfielder is back to Lugogo on a one-year loan deal, and former KCCA head coach Sam Ssimbwa believes that he is back to replace himself.
“KCCA has gained a lot in this move because they have never replaced Okello,” Ssimbwa told Football256.
“Okello’s replacement is hard to find and he can only be a replacement of himself.”
“KCCA is the club he is familiar with in Uganda and I am very sure he is going to perform well,” he added.
Ssimbwa also noted that Okello’s move to Paradou was a rush and he deserved a better club.
“Okello is a very good player but he was not yet ready to go to the professional ranks, he still needed more time in terms of preparations.”
“If there was patience I know he would even be playing for a better team than Paradou because he is talented there is no doubt about that.”
“I hope that after all this, he is guided well upon what to do next with his career,” Ssimbwa noted.
The 22-year-old signed a four contract with Paradou in January 2020, he was limited to playing time and only managed three goals in two seasons a clear manifestation of a deal not moving as expected.
