KCCA FC had a busy deadline day of the transfer window, where they made one acquisition, and announced three departures.

The Kasasiro Boys acquired the services of Rogers Atube from Calvary FC, while the trio of Ibrahim Juma, Elvis Mwanje, and Allan Enyou went overseas on loan.

Atube, who also previously played for Ndejje University FC, joined the 13-time StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions on a three-year contract.

“I have always wanted to play for this club and I am happy I have finally achieved my dream,” Atube told the club media.

“I know what is at stake and I want to achieve great things and I can not wait to get started. I am looking forward to the start of the new season.”

The left-back is one of the 12 players KCCA signed in the recently concluded transfer market, including the return of Allan Okello on a one-year loan deal, from Algerian side Paradou AC.

Muhammad Shaban, Moses Waiswa, Mustafa Mujuzi, Muhamed Ssenoga, Tshisungu Kankonde, Daniel Isiagi, Haruna Lukwago, Faisal Wabyoona, Saidi Mayanja, and Enyou.

The latter and Mwanje have been loaned out to the United Arab Emirates side Elite Falcons FC for a year, whereas Juma will spend the 2022/23 season in Spain with Segunda Division outfit Leganes.

There is an option to turn Juma’s move to Laganes permanent if both teams can strike an agreement at the end of his loan.

With the commencement of the 2022/23 UPL season a week away, KCCA will begin with a home game against Wakiso Giants FC on Saturday, October 1.
