Nairobi Stima FC head coach George Owoko has backed Braize Nkolo to dazzle in the Kenyan Premier League after completing a move to Kisumu based KPL side, Western Stima.
Nkolo, a former Kirinya Jinja winger was barely utilized by Owoko’s side during his four-month stint with the club. He departed Nairobi Stima for sister club, Western Stima.
And the tactician has revealed that the attacker requested to be allowed to join the Kenyan Premier League side.
“He requested to leave and we decided not to stand on his way. He’s a good winger but when a player is wanted elsewhere, the noble thing to do is to let him leave, Owoko said.
Owoko a former Tusker and Bandari FC assistant coach believes the Ugandan will shine at the Kisumu based side.
“He has the quality and I strongly believe that he’ll thrive at Western Stima. He has what it takes to be successful and I hope that he works very hard at his new club,” he added.
Owoko believes that his departure will not hurt his team’s promotion chances. The team is second in the National Super League and is firmly on course for promotion to the Kenyan Premier League.
“I don’t think it will affect us. We have many good players in the team and the others will rise to the occasion. I am not worried at all, we will work with the available players,” he added.
Stima will play Green Commandos on Friday afternoon in Naivasha.
