Despite sitting at the bottom of StarTimes Uganda Premier League log with only four points, Paidha Black Angels Head Coach Muhammed Kisekka believes his team have what it takes to survive relegation.
Kisekka’s remarks came in after his side succumbed to a 3-0 loss at the hands of KCCA FC on Tuesday evening at Lugogo.
“Am confident that Paidha Black Angels can get seven wins in the second round of the season and survive relegation,” Kisekka said.
“When you add these points to the four points we have, with 25 points which are enough for a team to survive relegation.”
“If you get three points, you can skip like three positions because the difference in points at the table is not so big,” he said.
Asked why his team is performing poorly, the soft spoken tactician put it down to the psychology of the players who lack motivation to perform.
“The fact is our players are psychologically down but we are working hand in hand to see that we motivate them with financial boost so that they can perform.”
“A big game in Arua against maybe Villa or Express can get us Shs10M, if part of that money is put to taking care of the needs of these players then we can have them perform to the level they should be performing,” he added.
Piadha will play Express next in the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the Green light Stadium on December 23rd, the latter won there 2-0 in their league meeting.
