The dust at 16 time record league champions SC Villa seems to have raised again.
Not so long ago the Nsambya based side was in the headlines after a string of poor results that led to the resignation of former national team coach Moses Basena leading to the appointment of Douglas Bamweyana who has tried to stir the ship for the better.
Despite the minimal success registered so far this season, off the pitch the team is in shambles.
Atleast five players have gone AWOL with the remaining lot complaining about a lack of a proper administration structure at the club but most importantly is the delayed payment of their agreed sign on fees.
Football-256 reliably understands the whereabouts of Mike Serumagga and Shafik Bakaki are not known.
“It’s not true that players want to put down tools because of sign on fees, many of them had an agreement with the club,” Adong told www.football-256.com, she also added.
“I also want to state that Shafick Bakaki is officially away for trials in Vietnam while Serumagga hasn’t surfaced but we shall surely find out why maybe he is sick.”
Having already lost Savio Kabugo and Joseph Ssemujju who left for greener pastures, alot has not been addressed at the club and many of the players seem to be ready to put down their tools because of the situation.
Villa sit 13th on the 16 team log with 14 points, they’ve managed only two wins from 15 games along with 5 loses and eight draws.
