The International University of East Africa joins Muni University as the first two institutions to bow out of the 2022 Pepsi University Football League.
After winning none of their opening four games in Group B, Muni became the first University to exit the competition.
At the bottom of the group, Muni is pointless and 12 points adrift of leaders Makerere University Business School and nine points off second-placed Nkumba University.
Meaning that they can not even afford to reach the second position to at least go through as one other best second placed teams.
In the same group, the University of Kisubi is one three points and mathematically has a slim chance of going through but that will fade away should they lose to Muni on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, IUEA’s elimination was confirmed when they lost 1-0 to Kumi University in Group A on Tuesday.
They have played five games minus winning and they are positioned at the base of the standings pointless.
In Group A, Uganda Christian University and Kumi are tied on ten points a tally IUEA can not afford because they are left with one game.
Victoria University which is placed third on six points still has a chance to qualify given that they are left with two games.
Kabale University, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, and Busitema University are the other institutions on the verge of elimination.
