Despite picking a 1-0 win over rivals Nkumba University in the 2022 Pepsi University Football League, Makerere University Business School’s (MUBS) head coach Charles Ayeikoh expressed huge concerns about the rate at which his side waste goalscoring chances.

Stuart Magumba’s lone strike sunk the Entebbe-based institution on Tuesday at the MUBS Grounds but, Ayiekoh was more concerned about the missed opportunities.

“It was a good match as we managed to pick our first victory against a good Nkumba team,” he spoke to the media after the match.

“It was important to win our second game but I’m not entirely pleased with how we wasted so many chances.

“We created several chances and we could have won the game early but we squandered them. The goalscoring department will need to improve,” added the tactician.

“Even then, we have three weeks to correct these mistakes and return better (against Muni University).”

The result took the Nakawa-based outfit top with maximum points (six). Nkumba stayed second with three.

Both Muni and the University of Kisubi occupy rock-bottom without a single point after one game.
