After losing to KCCA FC’s Morley Byekwaso in the previous two months, Vipers SC head coach Roberto Oliveira has finally won the StarTimes Uganda Premier League Pilsner coach of the month award on his third attempt.

The Brazilian shrugged off competition from Express FC’s Wasswa Bbosa and BUL FC’s Alex Isabirye to win the December accolade.

Oliveira guided the Venoms to four wins in five games played during the final month of 2021, a feat that fully deserved rewarding.

The Kitende based side collected 12 points from the available 15 from matchday nine to 13 which have been considered by the Pilsner awards organizers.

Oliveira saw his team demolish UPDF FC 7-2, Busoga United 4-1 while adding to 1-0 victories over Bright Stars and Tooro United and a draw against KCCA in December.

Meanwhile, it is still Vipers’ forward Cesar Manzoki that took home the Pilsner player of the Month Award peeping Police FC’s Juma Balinya and BUL’s Ibrahim Nsimbe.

Manzoki scored five goals in five games, a consistent return that could not go unnoticed.

The Congolese striker was on target once when Vipers drew two-all with KCCA. He also netted one goal in each of his side’s 4-1 and 1-0 wins over Busoga and Tooro respectively, before he bagged a brace in a 7-2 thrashing of UPDF.

Both Oliveira and Manzoki walked away with a plaque and a sum of one million shillings each at a ceremony held at Kati Kati Restaurant on Thursday.
