As a top five finish is still their priority in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, Police FC is up for maximum points when they host Onduparaka at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo on Tuesday.
The Abdallah Mubiru coached side is aiming at bouncing back to winning ways after disappointingly losing two points to Maroons in their last outing as both sides played to a two-all draw.
“We are ready and prepared for three points against Onduparaka in order to fulfill our target of top five finish,” Police FC head coach Abdallah Mubiru told www.football-256.com.
“The desire for a win is high for the whole team, we need the win in order to improve on our standings on the league table.
“We shall fight till the last day in order to achieve our feat, we feel we need to have a brand as Police FC, that’s why we need to perform better in every game,” he added.
Police FC’s Hassan Kalega and Pius Kaggwa are back in the squad after recovering from injuries while Edgar Bwogi is still sidelined, custodian Davis Mutebi will miss the tie through.
Meanwhile, Onduparaka is also aiming at returning to the winning ways after a heavy 1-0 defeat to Tooro at Green Light Stadium last week, it was their second league loss this season.
In their previous league meeting, Onduparaka edged Police 2-1 win at Greenlight in December last year.
Police FC have managed only one win in their previous five league games, lost twice and picked two draws while Onduparaka have managed two wins, two losses and one draw from their previous five games.
Police is ninth on the 16 team log with 33 points while Onduparaka is seventh with 37 points with five games to go.
