Bright Stars remain third from bottom of the 16 log of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with six points from their opening 10 games, and they remain the only winless side this season.

They have come close to putting an end to that unwanted record but nearly is not enough at this level. Coach Muhammad Kiseka will be hoping his side carry the right attitude on Saturday, when they host third placed Onduparaka.

The fixture was earlier scheduled to be played at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, but the venue had to be changed to the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru as Wankulukuku pitch was suspended from hosting league games by FUFA.

The last time Bright Stars played at Njeru, they managed to grind out a draw against home side BUL Bidco. Joseph Janjali’s second half strike salvaging a point for his side.

The visitors, on the other hand, recorded their sixth win of the season after 10 games, a feat that took them third on the log and head into this game as favourites.

The Caterpillars were playing their 100th game in the Uganda premier league and marked it in style with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Tooro United. Another victory over Bright Stars will take them to within two points of table leaders Vipers who play Busoga United in Jinja.

Bright Stars head into the encounter buoyed by the return of duo Augustine Kacuncu and Alfred Onek after the duo recovered from respective injuries which ruled them out of the previous matches.

Brian Kayanja is yet to hit the standards he set last season and has looked sharp in bits, Bright stars will hope that he finally gets his scoring boots tomorrow.

Livingstone Mbabazi has managed to assemble a pretty entertaining side, marshalled by experienced striker Ceaser Okhuti and skipper Gaddafi Wahab whose deep-lying playmaker role seems to have suited him well.

Defensively, they have kept a league high six clean sheets in 10 games. Goalkeeper Yusuf Wasswa has been inspirational, pulling off great saves after the other, but he has been well guarded by the pair of Dudu Ramadhan and Mohammad Rashid in central defence.

The last two encounters between the two sides ended in stalemates, but Bright Stars hold a slight upper hand, defeating the Caterpillars twice in the six encounters so far. Onduparaka have picked up just one victory.
