FUFA Technical Center, Njeru will host the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter when Police FC tussle it out against Uganda Revenue Authority.

Police FC lie 15th on the log, with five points from 10 games, while URA are not fairing any better as they lie 12th on the log, with 11 points from nine games.

The Cops have lost four of their last five league games, but frustrating for head coach Abdallah Mubiru is that they have blown away leads against Vipers, Busoga United and in their last game against Maroons FC.

Police have let in a league high 19 goals in 10 games, keeping just two clean sheets in the process. On the offence though, they have not been as laboring as they have been in defence.

Mubiru’s side have scored in all but two games they have played this season, failing to find the back of the net against BUL and Mbarara City. They lost their game against Onduparaka by forfeiture.

Their counterparts on the other hand have not been so convincing as it was anticipated before the start of the season.

The tax collectors have not lost a game in their last five fixtures, suggesting that perhaps they have put aside their early season troubles after winning just one of their opening four games.

For URA head coach, the frustration comes from his team’s failure to see out results from games they should have. They have picked up just two victories this season and registered and incredible five draws, with four of their last five ending in stalemates.

The encounter will see midfielder Hassan ‘Gaata’ Kalega return to face his former side. The midfielder had his breakthrough with the Cops last season on loan from Vipers, before he earned his move to URA.

Goalkeeper James Alitho may miss the game as he continues to be overlooked in goal. There was a debut for Daniel Isiagi against SC Villa, and the striker had a far from convincing display. His replacement Cromwell Rwothomio was too wasteful. It remains to be seen who Ssimbwa goes with upfront.

Joachim Ojera was dangerous against Villa with his pace on the flanks, but defender Hood Mulikyi played a more significant role as he picked up the man-of-the-match accolade. Saidi Kyeyune was a menace in midfield. The trio will surely keep their slots if they are available.

Police FC playmaker Samson Andrew Kigozi saw red against Maroons and will not be available for this one. Shakur Makeera, Basani Saafi, are unavailable while Denis Rukundo will require a late fitness test.

Striker Hood Kaweesa is yet to hit the ground running at the club, but he seems to have fitted in easily. Ben Ocen has chipped in with a number of important goals for the Cops and once again will carry the creative onus.

Both clubs have met 12 times since 2013, the tax collectors have the upper hand winning seven, while Police have won just once with four encounters ending in stalemates.
