Sports Club Villa will lock horns with Jinja based side BUL FC at the Bombo Barracks Grounds on Wednesday, in a game that pits the second placed against the third placed teams in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The record champions come into this tie very optimistic of positive results following their two previous wins at their newly adopted home ground, against Bright Stars FC and Tooro United respectively.

However, if they are to achieve this, they will do it without head coach Edward Kaziba who is with the Crested Cranes team preparing for the CECAFA Women Championship.

Promising defender Gavin Kizito who commenced his UACE exams on Monday. Left back Yayo Lutimba is also out suspended after accumulating three yellow cards but inspirational midfielder David Owori is hopeful they can complete the mission though it won’t be easy.

“We have prepared well for the match (against BUL) and we hope for positive results although it will not be an easy one as our opponents have also proved to be tough this season,” Owori told football-256.

On the other hand, the Peter Onen coached side will base their hopes in the form of forwards Musa Esenu who grabbed a hat-trick in the sides 3-0 win over Mbarara City FC in their previous match at the Kyabazinga Stadium and the just crowned player of the month Robert Mukongotya.

When both sides met last season, BUL defeated the Jogoos 1-0 at Namboole Stadium, while the return leg fixture produced a one all draw at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

The hosts have picked up three victories in their last five game, which includes the emphatic 4-1 victory over Tooro United. They have kept three clean sheets in the process while they have been held twice.

BUL will need maximum points to keep chase of table leaders Vipers SC. They have not conceded a goal in their last three games, keeping clean sheets against Mbarara city, Onduparaka and Kyetume respectively.

Currently on the 16 logged table, the Jogoo sit in third on 23 points from 12 games while BUL sit second on 27 points from 13 games.
