FUFA Big League Rwenzori Group table leaders Proline FC are in no panic mode after the quarter final draw for the Stanbic Uganda Cup seeded them against StarTimes Uganda Premier League giants Vipers Sports Club.
The draw conducted on Wednesday Morning at FUFA House indicated Proline will host the tie at the StarTimes stadium Lugogo and their head coach Shafik Bisaso is eagerly anticipating the tie.
“Of all the quarterfinal ties, I think this the most interesting,” Bisaso told www.football-256.com, he later added.
“We can’t say it’s a difficult draw because even smaller teams put up good performances but all in all we are ready to prove our worth.”
“We shall take the game very seriously, we shall play to win because that’s the target and we always take care of business that is in front of us,” he added.
Proline have been in scintillating form lately, racking up as many wins in their quest to return to the top flight league next season, they top the Rwenzori Group on 29 points, two ahead of second placed Kansai Plascon.
“Of course qualifying back to the tip tier is our main target, but we are in two competitions and we have to give our best in every game we play,” Bisaso added.
Vipers who lost last season’s final to KCCA FC have an opportunity to reclaim the title they won in 2015 if they, FUFA will confirm the dates when the games will be played.
The games will be played from 9th to 12th March, 2019, the winners will progress to Semi-finals of the second most prestigious tournament in Uganda.
