By Clive Kyazze

Allan Kateregga was clear upon arrival at Maritzburg United on loan from Cape Town City earlier this year that his primary target was to help the team survive relegation.

Despite Maritzburg being at the bottom the Premier Soccer League log, they have a big chance of laughing best on the final day of the season in case they gather maximum points at Baroka FC.

The Eric Tinkler coached side are on 26 points from 29 matches while their opponents Baroka are in 12th place on 28 points.

Kateregga has been a big pillar in Maritzburg relegation survival campaign featuring for 401 minutes in seven games with 2 goals that came in the 2-1 win over Bloemfontein Celtic.

Elsewhere, Denis Onyango’s Mamelodi Sundowns need only a win away at Martin Kizza’s Free State Stars to be crowned champions for the ninth time, it will be Onyango’s sixth. Free State Stars also need to get a result in case they are to survive relegation.
