Six goals from eleven games in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this season is no mean feat, Maroons midfielder Rashid Agau stands heads above shoulders amongst his teammates with the form he has displayed so far.
Having signed Herman Wasswa, the powerful forward was expected to blossom. Unfortunately 11 games into the season the former KCCA FC, S.C Villa and Masaka LC striker has only managed one goal and hasn’t started in the last 4 games.
The burden then shifted to the middle of the park with Agau seemingly one of the players willing to lend a helping hand to the striking department.
He has gladly delivered the good for the Luzira side something he entirely puts down to team effort.
“Each time we’ve played, we have tried to do it as a team, and my performance is down to teamwork and this is straight from training” Agau told Football 256.
Having helped himself with a brace in the last game against Nyamityobora, the Arua born midfielder seems to be focused on hitting double figures this season.
“And if we continue this way, I can score 15 goals this season and maybe help my team finish in a decent position”
George Best Nsimbe’s side are now 12th on 10 points with two wins from 11 games this season.
