It is a full month of the 2022/2023 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season and it is time for the outstanding performers for October to be recognized.
Vipers SC goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza, Arua Hill SC defender Rashid Toha, and BUL FC forward Richard Wandyaka have been nominated for the Fortbet Real Stars Player of the Month Award for October.
Mudekereza was an integral part of the Venoms’ qualification for the group stages of the CAF Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.

The Congolese custodian kept four clean sheets two apiece against Olympic Real de Bangui and TP Mazembe – those against the latter were made in October.
Following a goalless draw on aggregate after two legs, the tie between Vipers and Mazembe was decided in the post-match penalties with the former winning it 4-2 with Mudekereza instrumental.
Mudekereza conceded his first goal in the Kitende-based side’s goalposts in a 1-0 loss to KCCA FC last week.
On the other hand, Toha has been brilliant in Arua Hill’s three-game unbeaten run in October.
The Leopards registered two victories 3-1 apiece against KCCA and Maroons FC while they drew 0-0 with Blacks Power FC.

Toha scored against both KCCA and Maroons and was at the same time a rock in defence.
Meanwhile, Wandyaka has scored four goals in five games for SUPL table leaders BUL and he is the league’s leading goal scorer so far.
The best basketball, golf, cricket, and woodball performers will also be rewarded at the awarding ceremony at Route256 Restaurant on Tuesday, November 1st.
