Moments after unveiling Charles Ssenyange alias Kadidi as Assistant Coach/First Team Coach at KCCA FC on Tuesday, mayhem at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo has reportedly hit.
According to sources close to the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions, another assistant, Badru Kaddu alias KB refused to leave office upon reporting for work.
It has been reported that KB is not entirely pleased with Kadidi’s appointment, as he feels his role has been undermined.
Upon making his way to Lugogo for the daily routine work, and learning of the news of the official unveiling, KB refused to leave the coaches’ office locking himself inside.
While KCCA FC left for their training session at the Kyambogo University playgrounds, KB stayed back.
Yet usually he is always the first at training to prepare the day’s session no matter where the team is training from.
It was after almost an hour that KB made his way to Kyambogo, he wasn’t part of the day’s different routines but atleast he eventually showed up.
KB joined KCCA FC in 2015 as part of Mike Mutebi’s backroom staff but got elevated to assistant manager under Byekwaso following the former’s exit.
The ‘Kasasiro Boys’ hierarchy did not entirely feel satisfied that Byekwaso had an able assistant in KB or Richard Malinga and Ssaka Mpiima, thereby securing Kididi to beef up their backroom staff.
Although the club still describes him as the assistant manager to Morley Byekwaso, it’s not clear what KB’s new role is at Lugogo and a clash of roles is expected to ensue internally.
