Reports: Kefa Kisala to coach Wakiso Giants

By Clive Kyazze

Kefa Kisala was one of the many coaches who applied for the coaching job at Wakiso Giants ahead of the 2019/2020 StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Kisala last coached at Express Football Club last season before he was let go after a poor run of results, he has been jobless since.

It’s reported that the Kisala and Wakiso Giants agreed on a year relationship that will see the former work with James Odoch as his assistant and Ali Kigunduu as the goalkeeping coach.

Before the development, Wakiso Giants are believed to have agreed terms with former Mbarara City coach Livingstone Mbabazi before he ditched them to rejoin Onduparaka on a three year deal.

Wakiso Giants parted ways with Ibrahim Kirya after he guided them to the top tier on their first time of asking but his one-year contract was never renewed

Kisala has coached football at BUL FC, URA and has been in the national team setup at the U20 and senior team level.

If the deal lives to see the light of the day then the former KCCA FC and Express left-footed winger has a lifetime opportunity to redeem his fading coach career at one of the most organized football enterprises in the country right now.
