Media reports making rounds indicate that as one high-profile defender exits Vipers SC, another of the same status is coming in at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Vipers’ captain Halid Lwaliwa is out of contract at Kitende and he will not renew with the club and his next destination is projected to be South Africa.
Meanwhile, as Lwaliwa leaves Murushid Juuko is set to join the Venoms reportedly on a two-year contract.
Juuko’s time at Express FC came to an end after the expiry of his contract which he did not renew hence becoming a free agent.
A deal to reunite with his former boss Wasswa Bbosa at Modern Gaddafi fell through according to reports and the same reports indicate that he will now be returning to the Entebbe-based outfit.
If it happens, this will be the 28-year-old’s second stint at Vipers given that he was at the club between 2009 and 2012 when it was then called Bunamwaya FC.
In a similar development, Lwaliwa’s assistant Paul Willa also left the club this week meaning that head coach Roberto Oliveira will have to name a new captain and a deputy ahead of the new season.
