Former Gor Mahia and Kaizer Chiefs defender Godfrey Walusimbi could be heading back to South Africa ahead of the 2019/2020 season.
The Uganda international was released by Kaizer Chiefs early this year after spending less than six months and returned to Uganda.
According to reports, Walusimbi could return to South Africa next season with Black Leopards who are coached by Dylan Kerr his former coach at Gor Mahia.
“He is back in the country [Uganda] and clubless at the moment.”
“There was interest from Black Leopards before he returned home but the club promised to consider signing him for next season,” a close source said.
Despite being unattached, Uganda national team coach Sebastien Desabre named Walusimbi in his provisional squad ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania this month.
Uganda has already qualified for the Nations Cup finals in Egypt this year, although there is one game remaining.
