The CAF Champions League stage is certainly one any club would love to dance at and leave a mark something Vipers SC head coach Roberto Oliviera is working on behind the scenes.
The Brazilian tactician who was on Monday named the Pilsner Manager for the month of November exclusively told Football256 on the sidelines that he is expected to meet the club president Lawrence Mulindwa to discuss about re enforcing the team ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign.
“I think for the Champions League we have an opportunity to use the January transfer window to reinforce our team. I have an important meeting with the club president Lawrence Mulindwa before the end of the year about this, I trust the president very much and i love the club and fans so let’s hope for the best” he stated.
Asked about the possibility of facing his former striker Cesar Manzoki who is rumoured to have signed a pre contract with Simba and could be available for Msimbazi in January, Roberto wasn’t moved.
“All top players are always wanted by top clubs, i don’t know if Cesar joined Simba because i read papers in Tanzania and they’ve been saying this for a while but if it is true then it’s fine, i wish him all the best and we shall definitely do well even though he will be playing against us” he concluded.
The Venoms are currently second on the log with 24 points, two behind log leaders KCCA after both teams drew 0-0 and 1-1 against Express and BUL respectively.
