When everyone is happy and celebrating what looked to be a win that comes with breathing space, KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi decided to front his dissatisfaction.
KCCA FC had just defeated SC Villa 4-2 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier on Saturday at Lugogo to go three points ahead of chasing Vipers SC on the 16 team log.
“We did not perform well despite a win against SC Villa,” Mutebi said in the post match press conference before adding.
“Yes we can score goals but we are very careless when defending, defenders do a lot of schoolboy mistakes.”
“I believe in my players but they have failed to cross over, they play at only 50%, but I am happy the boys reacted well against URA’s loss though the reaction was not enough,” he added.
The Kasasiro Boys tactician then turned to praising SC Villa for it’s performance and character in the game.
“SC Villa is a good team, they conceded four goals but continued to press and attack, and they got rewarded with two goals.”
KCCA’s next league fixture is a visit to Tooro United at Buhinga Stadium on Wednesday, their next hosts defeated Police 1-0 on Saturday.
