Holders BUL FC and Ndejje University FC are the latest teams to advance to the Round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The StarTimes Uganda Premier League side, BUL needed a 51st-minute goal from Hillary Onek to edge Buganda Region side Sparks FC 1-0 at Kirondo playground in Mukono on Monday.
FUFA Big League outfit Ndejje defeated Kampala Region outfit Ntinda United FC 3-1 at Kampala Qualify on the same day.
Jimmy Nsaale Wasswa bagged a brace and another from James Obedi as the visitor comfortably led at the break before the home team pulled one back in the second half for a consolation.
BUL becomes the first StarTimes Uganda Premier League side to reach this year’s Round of 32 as others are yet to be involved.
Ndejje joins fellow FBL side Kitara FC while there are four Regional League sides in the Round of 32 already.
Admin FC from the Eastern Region, Pajule Lions FC from the Northern Region, North Eastern Region’s Junior Eagles FC, and Kitara Region outfit Blue Stars FC are also in the Round of 32.
SUPL champions Vipers SC who lost last year’s final to BUL will visit Kitara Region side Bujumbura FC on Tuesday.
On the same day, FBL outfits Jinja North FC and Calvary FC will be away to Eastern Region side Busei FC and Budondo United FC respectively.
