Maroons FC and Modern Gaddafi FC became the first two Uganda Premier League sides to exit the 2022/23 Uganda Cup on Thursday.
The Prison Warders and the Soldier Boys were eliminated by Regional League sides Kisugu United FC and Kiyinda Boys FC respectively.
Kisugu United who play in the Kampala Regional League beat the Luzira-based side Maroons FC 2-1 at the Coffee Grounds in Bugolobi.

Whereas, Buganda Regional League side Kiyinda Boys edged out Jinja-based side Gaddafi 1-0 at the Ssaza Grounds in Mityana.
However, Blacks Power FC who also feature in the Uganda Premier League fought hard and ejected North Eastern side Bukedea Central FC 1-0 at Emokori Stadium in Bukedea.
Meanwhile, Big League side Kataka FC were dumped out by Western Regional League’s Gorilla Highland SC after a 2-0 victory at Mashaka Playground in Kisoro.
Fourteen teams have already booked their slots in the Round of 32; Kisugu, Kiyinda, Gorilla Highland, Blacks Power, Villa, Police, Vipers, BUL, Kitara, Ndejje University, Jinja North United, Admin, Junior Eagles, Pajule Lions, Blue Stars.
