KCCA FC defeated Onduparaka FC to move to the top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier table.
The Kasasiro Boys were 2-0 victors over the Caterpillars in an encounter played at the Bombo Military Barracks Grounds on Friday.
Former Onduparaka captain Muhammad Shaban returned to haunt his former employers scoring one of the two goals.
Shaban netted the second goal in time added on of the first half in the 47th minute after Allan Okello had scored the first after the half-hour mark in the 31st minute.
That was the Uganda Cranes forward’s first goal in the KCCA colours since he returned to the club for his second stint.
Following that victory, the Kasasiro Boys leapfrogged Wakiso Giants FC at the top of the 15-team SUPL log.
Morley Byekwaso’s charges are now on 22 points after 10 games, and Wakiso dropped to second place with 21 points.
Vipers SC who are positioned third with 20 points have a chance to go top when they meet Gaddafi Modern FC at Kitende on Sunday, December 4th.
On the other hand, Onduparaka remained bottom of the standings with two points and remains the only team in the SUPL yet to win a game this season.
KCCA’s next game will be an encounter against rivals Express FC in the Kampala Derby to be played at Lugogo on Friday, December 9th.
Onduparaka will, on the other hand, visit Vipers at Kitende on Wednesday, December 7th.
