Maroons FC will return to action on Tuesday, November 15, when they Blacks Power FC, at Prisons Grounds in a clash they are not taking lightly at all.
According to Maroons FC assistant Ccach, Simon Ojok, they are set to handle an improved team with intent and seriousness.
“We expect a very hard game against our opponents (Blacks Power),” Ojok told the press ahead of the clash.
“We are preparing for the game against Blacks Power. It will not be easy because they are a good side with great players and coaches. You can see that they are improving and playing better,” he added.
“We have urged our players to be more clinical and improve on their conversion rate because we missed several chances in our last game where we lost to Vipers SC.”
“We have also worked on limiting their strength. This will be put in action if our players hardly make unnecessary fouls because they (Blacks Power) always utilise set pieces.”
“All teams in the league are big so we can not have any chance to undermine our opponent. That’s why we ought to work very hard if we are to get a positive result.”
“We call upon all fans to turn up in big numbers so that they can support their team,” he concluded.
The two sides have only met twice and that was last season in the FUFA Big League.
After a 3-0 home victory in Luzira, the Lira-based side revenged with a 2-0 at their home, as they shared a victory apiece.
Maroons will not have the services of Noel Nasasira due to malaria and Umar Kyebatala who has a hurting joint, following an accident.
