Ten-man BUL FC forced Gaddafi to their third straight stalemate after a 1-1 draw in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) tie played at Kakindu Stadium on Tuesday.

The ‘Rolex Derby’ highlighted several heated-up reactions and no side would take home maximum points.

Ibrahim Kazindula placed the visitors ahead from the spot before defender Bakali Magumba tied it up.

The hosts were the better side and managed five more shots on target than the oil manufacturers but were quite blunt in the final third.

In the 12th minute, Shafiki Bakaki handled the ball in the area and center referee Mashood Ssali called for a penalty.

Kazindula’s well-dispatched strike sent BUL’s goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa the wrong way to give BUL the lead.

Moments later, Mahad Yaya Kakooza was stretched off after a knee injury caused by Richard Ayiko’s nasty open boot.

As the first half came to an end Gaddafi put up several attacks but failed to convert any as BUL’s custodian Emmanuel Kalyowa tamed Johnson Odongo and Yunusu Sibira’s efforts.

A minute past an hour mark, Gaddafi levelled matters through Bakali Magumba after kalyowa’s sloppy goalkeeping.

Seven minutes later, Simon Serunkuma thought he had given Gaddafi the lead but his effort was canceled after an infringement on goalkeeper Kalyowa.

That led to physical attacks amongst the players of both teams and moments later BUL’s Walter Ochora received matching orders.

Moments later Gaddafi came close again but Alex Kitata’s low strike went inches wide from the left goalpost.

The point keeps BUL FC on top of the log with 11 points from five games while Gaddafi is 11th with three points from four games.

In the next fixtures both teams will be on the road, Gaddafi will visit Busoga United on Tuesday November 1st while Onduparaka will host BUL on Wednesday November 2nd.
