Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC picked their first win of the season with a comfortable 3-0 dispatch of Maroons FC on Friday at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Yunus Sentamu’s brace and another from skipper Milton Karisa ensured the Venoms also scored their first campaign goal.
Karisa netted off the rebound in the 20th minute after Maroons goalkeeper Simon Tamale had spilled Bright Anukani’s freekick.
Fredrick Kigozi nearly found the leveller five minutes later with a stinging shot but it was met by a robust Alfred Mudekereza hand.
In the 65th minute, Sentamu doubled the lead with a lovely flick off Karim Watambala’s freekick.
A minute later, Sentamu completed his brace with a low drive past Tamale after a great pass from Karisa
The Kitende side, who are now 12th with four points, will take on Wakiso Giants FC on Tuesday in their next encounter.
Meanwhile, Maroons stayed fifth with eight points and will take on Blacks Power on November 15.
