Wakiso Giants FC will be keen on putting up a strong show and avenge last season’s 5-0 hammering by URA FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The two lock-horns at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Tuesday and, the hosts are already gearing up to mastering a strong show.
“We have prepared the team perfectly well to try and outcompete our opponent as we usually do to the rest of the teams,” Wakiso’s head coach John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda told the media on Monday.
Vianne Sekajugo’s four strikes and another from Ibrahim Dada sunk the Purple Sharks at their own home last season, but this is already lining up to be different meeting altogether.
“It will not be an easy game playing against them as it’s a good team with good players and experienced coaches,” added Luyinda in an honest assessment.
The two sides are separated by a single point with Wakiso sixth on seven points while the Tax Collectors are seventh on six after five games.
“We’re looking forward to picking what will also be a second win for us at home this season and see how far we can improve on the table,” the buoyant tactician added.
The two have previously met just four times in the League, with each sharing a win and two stalemates.
