Utility player Marlon Tangauizi has expressed interest in returning to the Uganda Premier League, Football256 has reliably learnt.
The Kenyan born has been at Kenyan Premier League giants Tusker FC a side he joined the club in January 2017 before the expiry of his contract in December 2019.
“It was a fantastic experience and great honour to play for Tusker FC and I am grateful for the opportunity and time at the club and now I want to return to Uganda where it all started from,” the player exclusively told this website via a phone call.
Tangauizi who is also a former student at St. Mary’s SS Kitende, East High School, Ntinda and Nakaseke International bounced into the limelight in 2015 while playing for then Kampala Regional side Kamwokya United.
It’s from there that he was acquired by Kira Young FC playing in the UPL before crossing to the now defunct Saints FC where he also put up impressive displays that lured Tusker FC under Ugandan tactician George ‘Best’ Nsimbe to scoop his signature.
Like any other player, earning a maiden national team call up is a dream come true and for Tangauizi he realised it in 2017 when Harambee Stars head coach then Stanley Okumbi included him in his squad for the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.
