By Football256 Team

Every journey must come to an end and eventually life moves on. In that way, Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko has bade farewell to Simba SC a side he has played for close to five years.

In a statement on his official facebook page on Wednesday afternoon the former Vipers SC and Sports Club Victoria University defender posted.

“It’s a wonderful journey that we always share with each other Yet, it’s the same journey that sometimes separates us away from each other. I just want to say thank you for all the good moments”.

Juuko whose contract with the Tanzanian outfit expires this year in June has on a number of occassions been blocked by Simba from moving for greener pastures.

The most recent one coming in 2018 when he nearly joined ABSA premier League giants Orlando Pirates before the move failed to fall through.

The hard rock and solid defender has not realised the best of playing time in Simba’s league success this season despite being ready and available for selection.

In the 2019 Total CAF Champions League, Juuko played in a number of matches against giants Al Ahly (in Egypt and Tanzania) and As Vita (in DRC) and in the Preliminary round.

Juuko joined Simba in 2014 from Sports Club Victoria University winning two league titles in 2017/18 and 2018/19, the Tanzania FA Cup and Mapinduzi cup in 2015.

The news comes at a time when it’s rumoured that fellow Ugandan international Emmanuel Okwi was also leaving Simba for a yet to be known destination.

Ugandan born and Rwandan international Meddie Kagere is also reportedly being quoted by CAF Confederation Cup winners Zamalek, who have reportedly tabled a US$450,000 for the striker.

Juuko and Okwi are currently with the Uganda Cranes team that is camped at Park Rotana hotel in Abu Dhabi ahead of the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations that kicks off on 21st June in Egypt
