Three matches to the end of the 2021/22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season, Onduparaka FC star forward Muhammad Shaban has reportedly drawn huge interest from top-tier sides, KCCA FC and Arua Hill SC.

Currently, the second top scorer in the league with 15 goals, two adrift of Vipers SC’s Cesar Manzoki, Shaban has been a key pillar to the Caterpillars’ run towards survival.

Sources hugely close to the striker have revealed to Football256 that the two aforementioned clubs have shown high intent of securing his signature.

It has been reported that Arua Hill have tabled UGX. 35 million shillings in sign-on fees whereas KCCA have promised him a fee in the range of UGX. 50 million.

Both deals have their own unique and divergent controversies involved given his past and present exploits

Onduparaka and Arua Hill are eternal rivals and a move to the other side of the city would be seen as betrayal by the former.

Ironically, the developments have intensified on the eve of the highly anticipated West Nile derby between the two foes.

On the other side, if Shaban heads to Lugogo, it will be his second stint after being there between 2017-2018, before he secured a big-money move to Morocco’s Raja Casablanca.

The 24 year old has also previously featured for Onduparaka (first spell) in 2018-2019, Raja Casablanca (2018-2019) and Vipers (2019-2021).
