Proline FC has confirmed the loan move for goalkeeper Micheal Muhumuza to FUFA Big League side UPDF FC.
Muhumuza will join the army side on a one year contract, the club has also confirmed.
“Goal Keeper Micheal Muhumuza has joined UPDF FC on a one year loan deal. We wish him the best.” Read a statement from Proline.
The chances of the former Airtel Kitara shot stopper to staying at Proline FC, almost perished following the arrival of Bashir Sekagya on loan from Vipers SC.
Sekagya’s arrival directly displaced Muhumuza to fourth choice with Hassan Matovu and Shatif Magoola already ahead of him in the pecking order.
Muhumuza joined Proline FC two seasons back from Airtel Kitara FC with his strengths lying more on one on one, penalties and ball distribution.
During his time at Proline FC, he found it hard to penetrate past Saidi Keni in his first season but after Keni’s departure to SC Villa; he shortly assumed the first choice slot before being displaced by Hassan Matovu.
And to further make it tough for him, Proline signed another talented youthful custodian Shatif Magoola from Kiboga Young FC, which automatically displaced him to fourth choice.
He becomes the fourth Proline FC player to move out after Emmanuel Asiku, Isma Kabugu and Hakim Ssekito.
