Uganda Cranes midfielder Allan Kateregga has completed his move to Iraqi top tier side Erbil SC, Football256 has discovered.
Kateregga has been a free agent since agreeing to mutually terminate contract with South African top division side Cape Town City FC in July this year.
According to sources, Kateregga flew out of the country on Thursday night for Iraq to agree the final clauses on his contract before agreeing to an undisclosed contract term.
Kateregga has formerly featured for Sports Club Victoria University, KCCA FC, Tusker FC, AFC Leopards and Maritzburg United.
He joins a list of Ugandans to play for Ebril City like, defender Ivan Bukenya and winger Sula “Malouda” Matovu who played for the club in 2011-13 and 2012-13 respectively.
Ebril is a Sports Club that plays in the Iraq Premier League, and was found on 3rd November 1969, 51 years ago. They are based in the city of Erbil and host their home games at the 20,000 seater Franso Hariri Stadium.
Last season, Erbil finished 11th in the Iraq Premier League on 48 points from 38 games on the 20 team log.
