Kampala International University (KIU) will be looking at bouncing back to winning ways when they host Busitema University on Friday at Nsambya in the Pepsi University Football League.
KIU lost their first game 4-2 to current champions Kyambogo University, however their coach Geoffrey Akabwai believes the team will do better in their game against Busitema.
“We didn’t play well against Kyambogo. We had some goalkeeping and defensive errors that cost us but we have worked on them in training and I hope to bounce back against Busitema,” Akabwai told www.football256.com before adding.
“Our group is a tricky one. I think any of us can finish in the top two and so when we have such a game at home, it is important that we ensure we get all three points,” he added.
Meanwhile Busitema University head coach Dorothy Namugenyi is optimistic that her side will collect maximum away points from the Kansanga based University.
“KIU are a tricky team to play. They have very good players and will be playing at home. Our team is still fresh and young however I am confident we shall be able to come away with a point,” Namugenyi said.
The league action continues on Sunday with Kumi University hosting champions Kyambogo University.
