Uganda U17 team to enter camp on Monday ahead of Cameroon clash

The Uganda U17 girls national team will enter residential camp on Monday at the Cranes Paradise hotel in Kisaasi to kick off preparation for their 2021 FIFA U17 Women World Cup playoff qualifier against Cameroon.

Uganda will host Cameroon in the first leg at the end of the month on October 31 in Kampala before the return leg two weeks later.

Head coach Ayub Khalifah has summoned 30 players to enter residential camp with the core of the team that player the qualifiers against Ethiopia and Tanzania maintained.

Five new faces including Gift Nasasira from Maroons WFC, Winnifred Kwatulira from Jinja United FC, Devine Mirembe – Asubo Gafford Ladies FC and Kamuyati Naigaga have been included on the squad.

The players are expected to arrive for camp on Monday where they will undergo mandatory COVID-19 testing before they enter camp.
