Ahead of the international break, it was yet again another action packed weekend for a number of Ugandan players abroad at their respective clubs as they registered different results.

Ronald Lusulire followed them up to find out how they fared.

In Ethiopia, defender Savio Kabugo made his debut for new side Sebeta Kenema coming on in the 70th minute as they defeated Coffee FC 1-0 in the Addis Ababa City Cup. Another Ugandan midfielder Yasser Mugerwa played full time as his Shire Endasilassie drew 0-0 with Soloda Adwa FC.

Forward Nelson Ssenkatuka came on in the last ten minutes as his Mogreb Tetouan side lost 3-0 against Hassania Agadir as they bowed out of this year’s Moroccan Throne cup at the semi-finals stage.

Forward Patrick Henry Kaddu who was summoned for the 2021 AFCON qualifier against Burkina Faso, came on in the 62nd minute for Burkinabe forward Alain Traore as his RS Berkane defeated defending champions Wydad Casablanca 0-1 away from home in the Botola Pro league.

Defender Timothy Awany played full time as his Ashdod FC side lost 2-0 away to Bnei Yehunda in Israel’s top tier league. His counterpart Bevis Mugabi also played full time for Motherwell as they lost 2-0 at Celtic in Scotland.

Cranes’ skipper Denis Onyango endured a difficult game over the weekend. His howler gifted Golden Arrows an easy goal as Mamelodi Sundowns blew an early lead, losing 3-2 to the Arrows in the ABSA Premiership.

William Luwagga Kizito came on in the 76th minute for Shakhmetov Marat as his Shakter Karagandy side lost 3-2 at Zhetyse. In Turkey in Kazakhstan. Faruku Miya started before being substituted in the 63rd for Bajic Rijad as his Konyaspor side lost 2-0 at Sivasspor.

Goalkeeper Salim Jamal played full time as his club Al-Hilal Omdurman side defeated Al Ahli Khartoum 2-0 at home in the Sudanese top division.
