Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) Football Club will be hoping to get their first win in a fixture where they face Onduparaka Football Club when the two sides faceoff at the Military Barrack in Bombo Tuesday.
UPDF FC has never won a game against Onduparaka in the four games played; “In football, they do not look at what happened yesterday,” Kisala noted.
“But what is to happen today is paramount. So it’s a new game and how we go into it is very different.”
The two sides have met four times and among these, the caterpillars have taken the lion’s share with three wins and one draw.
Kefa Kisala’s charges come in this game with the hunger to get back to winning ways having suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at the hands of the reigning champions Vipers SC on Saturday. Yunus Sentamu’s late header separated both sides late in the game.
“I am glad that some of the players we missed on the trip to Kitende are back,” Kisala told Football25 in an interview before adding.
“And will be of help in this fixture. So expect Kalumba (Brian) and Thembo (Ibrahim) to play tomorrow’s game because they fresh and fit to go.”
UDPF will not be with Dickens (Okwir) and Isa (Mubiru) after their dismals against Vipers, but Kisala says he has a solution for the two absentees.
“I am lucky that my team is relatively balanced because at one moment I expected such things like players being suspended or long-term injuries to pop up and so it’s a test we have to react to in the best way possible.”
UPDF FC has managed two losses and four wins from the six games played and lie sixth on the SUPL log while Onduparaka has managed one loss, three stalemates and two winning and sit in the ninth position on the 16-team log.
