Arua Hill SC battered KCCA FC 3-1 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at the Barifa Stadium, Arua on Saturday.
Isaac Ogwang, Rashid Toha and Rashid Kawawa were the chief tormentors of the Kasasiro Boys in Arua Hill’s season opener.
Meanwhile, Bright Vuni gave KCCA a consolation goal after scoring in his own net.
Tshisungu Kankonde found KCCA’s first shot on target but his freekick was well collected by custodian Richard Anyama in the eighth minute.
Four minutes later, Ogwang jumped highest to nod home Gagndafi Wahab’s freekick to power Arua Hill in the lead.
Kawawa had a chance to extend Arua Hill’s lead but Geriga Atendele’s sweet delivery was put to waste.
Two minutes into the second stanza, Toha doubled Arua Hill’s lead as KCCA FC looked for answers but couldn’t find any.
At the hour mark, Kawawa made it three after failing to be clinical on several occasions.
Moments later Allan Okello nearly found one for the visitors but his well-taken freekick was collected by Anyama, who had a busy evening.
The result takes Arua Hill in fifth on the 15 team log, level on points with KCCA who sits sixth after two games played.
KCCA will return to action when they host Vipers SC while Arua Hill visit Maroons on Saturday, October 22.
