Express FC have not won a game in their last two outings, they lost 2-0 to rivals SC Villa before drawing 1-1 with Gaddafi Modern FC in the past two games.
The Red Eagles will be hoping to return to winning ways when they visit Onduparaka FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds on Friday.
“Onduparaka is a stubborn team, especially when playing against us,” James Odoch Express head coach noted in his pre-match interview on Thursday.
“But we have prepared well and we are ready to encounter them because we are hungry to return to winning ways.”
“The whole team is in good shape and ready to pick up the second win of the season,” he added.
Ahead of Friday’s meeting, the hosts have not lost nor won any game this season, all they have managed is three goalless draws against URA FC, SC Villa, and Gaddafi Modern FC.
On the other hand, the visitors have had a mixture of results, a 1-0 win over URA, a 2-0 loss to Villa, and two 1-1 draws with UPDF FC and Gaddafi.
On the 15-team SUPL log, Onduparaka are positioned 14th with one point given that they were docked two points whereas Express are placed ninth with five points.
In the reverse fixture that was played at Wankulukuku in April 2022, Onduparaka defeated Express 2-0.
Odoch will rely on forward Allan Kayiwa, Express have managed only three goals so far this season and they have all been scored by the former Vipers SC player.
Meanwhile, the Caterpillars are yet to score a goal this campaign, and Mawa will be hoping that his players start firing against Express.
