Express FC Will lock horns with fellow giant URA FC in their second game of the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League season, on Saturday at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
Both sides managed barren stalemates in their opening matches against UPDF FC and Onduparaka FC respectively.
It will be Express’ first home game this season, and much as Head Coach James Odoch expects positive results, he anticipates a resolute URA.
“It’s going to be a tough game since both sides are searching for a first win this season,” said the tactician to the club media on Friday.
“We have corrected our mistakes from the last game and we are looking forward to earning maximum points.”
Tomorrow’s hosts have an edge over their opponent in the previous 12 meetings, with four wins, and six stalemates whereas the latter have won just twice.
Express skipper Isa Lumu is raring and keen on expanding the dominance in this fixture.
“URA is a big team, but we have a record against it,” the defender spoke to the club media as well, on Friday.
“We are working on our mistakes from the last game so that we win our first home fixture,” the optimistic Lumu added.
Last season, both matches ended in stalemates, with the first leg finishing 0-0 at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje.
The second encounter ended one-all, with Patrick Mbowa netting URA’s goal, as Erick Kambale found Mukwano Gwabangi’s equalizer.
