Soltilo Bright Stars FC needed a bit of magic from winger Ibrahim Kasinde to glide past Busoga United in the Uganda Premier League at the Kakindu Stadium on Monday.
The Uganda Hippos star struck five minutes after half-time, evading a crowded defense before shooting past custodian, Andrew Ssekandi for the evening’s only goal.
The result sent the guests to fifth on the 15-team log, as they continue their fast-rise, following an indifferent start to the campaign.
It also meant that Bright Stars have picked four successive victories, after wins over Onduparaka FC (2-1), Express FC (2-0) and 2-0 over BUL FC.
Meanwhile, Busoga continued their miserable run as they have won just twice this season, with eight defeats.
They’re currently stuck in 14th with only three points, having lost three more to hooliganism related sanctions.
Busoga will return to action on December 09th against Wakiso Giants FC, while Bright Stars will host the same opponent four days later.
