UPL: KCCA FC, Kaddu continue to show character

By Football256 Team

In a massive show of authority, KCCA travelled to the Kakyeka Stadium down in Mbarara and exerted themselves all over Nyamityobora in a majestic manner.

Two goals from Patrick Henry Kaddu in the first half were enough to get the job done and this means the striker now finds himself on 12 league goals for the season heads into the final showdown.

KCCA shall be crowned champions when they host Maroons FC on May 4th, the club Kaddu played for before joining KCCA back in 2017.

The technical wing of the KCCA hierarchy was really excited with what they saw on the pitch and this was re-echoed by KCCA assistant coach, Morley Byekwaso.

“The boys really played to our expectations, they didn’t come on the pitch showing the satisfaction [complacency] which everyone expected from them. It’s over. We’ve taken the trophy,” Byekwaso said after the game.

“They really played, showed energy, possessed well and eventually we scored and took the day. So we are extremely happy and thank the boys for the job they’ve done,” Added Byekwaso.

Clearly, it goes to show that skipper Timothy Awany and company played to the script they had before them and this must have derived such positive sentiments from the coaches.

On Kaddu’s performance, Byekwaso was full of praise for the hard working striker and heralded him as a very disciplined and grounded player. Attributes that have enabled him scale the heights for KCCA since joining them.

“Kaddu is very disciplined, he obeys everything you tell him to do or to follow. He has a very bright future, he’s coachable.”

“Any coach can coach him, he’s such a wonderful listener and respects everyone. So I think with such a talent of listening he has, he’s got a very big future ahead of him,” Byekwaso noted.

Some sweet words coming in from the assistant manager should definitely lift the striker’s confidence.

Byekawo and his boss Mike Mutebi from the start of the season felt this was Kaddu’s time to shine as the KCCA lead striker in the league, unfortunately it hasn’t been the case due to Mutebi’s squad rotation.

This result means KCCA are now on 63 points from 29 games going into their final encounter of the season at home to twelfth placed Maroons FC where they’ll be crowned champions.
