KCCA FC under the guidance of Mike Mutebi has been known for grooming young talents into big-name players at the club and at the national team.

It has been Mutebi’s norm to mix the KCCA groomed players with already established players signed from other clubs which is making the Lugogo based side a powerhouse in Uganda by winning three league titles in the past four years.

The Kasasiro Boys manager has revealed once more that the side will not be signing any new players in the coming window but rather will only strengthen his squad by promoting kids from the club’s junior side.

“We are not signing any player, we will be promoting our kids from the development side and maybe extending contracts of our players who we believe that can still serve us well,” Mutebi said on Wednesday.

“In Uganda, KCCA have better players, most of you would say like Police’s Juma Balinya but the area he operates there is Allan Okello, Jackson Nunda, Saddam Juma, and Muzamir Mutyaba.”

“We must not be excited about this strategy of recruitment, there must be a reason as to why you bring the player, there are still some exciting players in our development,” he added.

Players like Mustafa Kizza, Allan Okello, Julius Poloto, Peter Magambo, Filbert Obenchan and Sadat Anaku are all products of KCCA FC’s junior side.

They have been mixed with already big-name players like Nicholas Kasozi, Saddam Ibrahim Juma, Mike Mutyaba, Muzamir Mutyaba among others to building an unbreakable chemistry within the team.

However, Mutebi is known for failure to live up to his words on so many occasions, it won’t be a surprise if he signs one or two players in the transfer window.
